Discard Discouragement

“I am not discouraged, because every wrong attempt discarded is another step forward.”

-Thomas Edison

Do you get discouraged every time you make a mistake or experience a defeat? It’s easy to do because we tend to get focused on what went wrong. The only time this is acceptabl3e and productive is when it’s done to help find a solution or a better way forward. Otherwise, you are doing nothing but wasting time and energy on something that can’t be undone.

Don’t be discouraged. Use a “failure” to strengthen your resolve to take a better step forward. Begin the mental work of thinking of wrong attempts as growth and opportunities to make a better choice next time. Always remember to remain mindful of how you are planting your energy.
