Create Your Future

This is a quote that really resonates with me because I have spent twenty-four years in prison. I had no future outside of prison to look forward to. When I began to make some serious changes within myself, I realized that I could indeed create a future for myself by MAKING it. I have spent many years with everyone around me dwelling on the day they will be released from prison. They can only focus on a day that is in the future. They sleep their life away, waiting for “real life” to start again when they walk out of here.  I find that offensive and I tell people that If I had thought like that all of these years, I never would have done anything to better myself.

We create our future by making the most out of THIS moment right now! What we do in each moment is what creates our future. How can anyone expect to just magically find a bright future without putting in any work?! That’s what makes life fulfilling for me. That’s how I have found a purpose and a passion…by figuring out who I am and how I can make the world a better place. I have made my moments count and my future is being created in every little thing I do and in the way I treat others in each moment. Changing who I am and creating Plant Your Energy has changed who I am and will now change my destination in the future. That is why I encourage you to find your passions and pursue them. Follow your heart when you find what makes you feel whole.
